Need help with CDONTS or other object to receive mail in a specific way

Hello,

Is it possible to write a script using CONDTS object to read all emails from
the SMTP IIS "Drop" folder without changing the username and email address
in LogonSMTP? or is there completely another way to do it. Here is what I
want exactly the program to do:

I just want to have one script that will be able to pickup and read all
emails that arrive regardless of the email prefix. For example, I want the
script to read: R3****@email.co m , UH****@email.co m , VM****@email.co m in
one run. As you notice, the email prefix is a special code that I will want
to extract from every email received. Each email received will have an
attachment that I will store in the database together with the code from
each email prefix.

I will be very grateful for your help. If you know how, please could you
write me a little code so that I get some clue and be able to understand how
to use it.

I program with VBScript, and have own Windows 2003 server with IIS.

Thank you very much.

the SMTP is the outgoing mail folder, not incoming.

anyway, you can add a SMTP filter to catch the email as they are sent and
check for what you want.

Hello! Could anybody help me. I wrote a program that interprets information in a database, and can send information via email. The program works fine on my developer machine, but when I run it on an other computer, I get the error "Could not create 'CDONTS.NewMail' object..." a lot of times and then an error: "Failed to load resources from resource file. Please check your Setup.".

I verified that CDONTS and SMTP are supported by the server. I do not receive an error message when I open the following ASP page nor do I receive an email. I used response.write to verify that it creates a recordset. As always, any help is appreciated. Code is as follows: <!-- #INCLUDE FILE="adovbs.inc" --> <% Dim objNewMail ' Our CDO object Dim strTo ' Strings to hold our email fields

I've been told that an e-mail can be constructed using headers so that both a text and HTML version can be sent out simultaneously and the e-mail client will display the type that it can handle (http://www.wilsonweb.com/wmt5/html-email-multi.htm). How is this done using CDONTS and ASP to send an e-mail? Is there a specific field that the content type gets put into? I tried putting: Content-Type: multipart/alternative;...

Hi! I have to do some developing and I'm trying to configure my server to mimic the operation of our production server. The issue I'm having is that I'm trying to use CDONTS to send an email under IIS on a Windows 2003 Server. The server does not have the SMTP service running, but I do have a third party SMTP/POP/IMAP server running. I have copied the CDONTS.DLL file and registered it. In the Web Serice Extensions I have enabled the...

Hi everyone, I got a little problem while sending HTML e-mails with CDONTS. I generate my e-mail body without problems into a string variable. When I display it to the browser via a "response.write", it's OK, including images. Then I set this string variable to the CDONTS.Newmail object (body property), and I send the mail. The format settings are the following :

ASP.Net, C#, Email message, CDonts not CDO I am writing an ASP.Net application where I cannot use CDO. I must use CDonts. I cannot find an example of this on the Internet. I only see examples on how to do this using CDO. Unfortunately, I don't have that option. I must use C# and CDonts. Do you have any ideas or code? In traditional ASP, the code was: objMail = Server.CreateObject("CDONTS.NewMail"); objMail. To =...

I have written a winforms application that launches approximately 150 threads with Thread.ThreadStart() Each thread uses CDO 1.21 to logon to a different Exchange mailbox and send/receive a number of mail messages, reporting back to the UI thread through the use of a Queue object. When all messages that are expected have been received, each thread sends a final update to the UI and the method should exit, which should terminate the...

Most of my ASP programming experience is on NT4. We recently upgraded (replaced) our NT4 webserver with Win2k3 Web Edition. I am looking for a good book that I can go through that will show me the new and different ways IIS6 does things. I found out that some things still work from my old web site, but they no longer work on the new site. Thanks

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
