I was thinking about developing a workflow application yesterday and was musing over the different approaches than one could take in restricting specific actions on a ticket( Form ) at any said stage. One approach I have used on other systems is to prevent the action buttons appearing. For example, if one did not have the Role of Administrator, one would be prevented from deleting a ticket not created by oneself. However, it did occur...

Hi, I am strugling with a simple problem which I can't seem to resolve. I have an asp.net page which contains a server-control (flytreeview, which is a kind of a tree to be exact). The tree is being updated by some other process through remoting. When the page loads, I init the tree, and in my browser I can see the initialized tree. The problem is that every time that I receive update to tree from the remote process,

This is a repost, But I have some new information. I have a server that is configured for .NET 1.1 and 2.0. For some reason all my postback events for aren't firing when using .NET 1.1. Under IIS in ASP.NET tab, if i switch to 2.0 then the events fire correctly, but my code is not set up for that so i get some random errors. And when i switch back to 1.1 my events still don't fire Anyone know why my post backs are not firing in 1.1?

Hi all, Trying to do the ol' button up/down changing view using a image - not a input. I have a couple variations that work nicely, but I have issues trapping it from the server side. I use the onmouse events to change the image; works good because no roundtrip to the server when changing images. I can get them to postback to the server, but the sender object in the page_load isn't

How can I make an XHTML-compliant form of an expression in this format: document.write("<scr"+"ipt type='text/javascript' src='path/to/file.js'>"+"</scr"+"ipt>"); this turns out to be a non-trivial exercise. inserting '<' and '>' causes the browser to write the text to the page as literal text rather than as the intended script element. Using escape codes seemed to work (makes it standard compliant) but the text is not written to...

I'm brand new at ajax. In fact, about 20 minutes ago was the first time I got it to work. The problem I'm having on another page did not work, however. I'm running into the following error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
