Hi Manny,

You either have 2 DateTime values, or you have 2 strings in the format
11/22/04 9:00 AM and 11/22/04 9:30 AM. DateTime values don't have formats.
They are pure data. The System.DateTime class has many methods for comparing
DateTime values. In addition, some camparison operators can compare DateTime
values. For example:

Dim ahora As DateTime = DateTime. Now
Dim SomeDate As DateTime = SomeFunctionTha tReturnsADate()
If SomeDate > ahora Then...

Note that I spoke of comparing DateTime values. DateTime is a Data Type.
Comparing 2 strings will only tell you which string is alphabetically before
the other.

If you are attempting to only compare 11/22/04 with 11/22/04 and ignore
the times, you can compare string objects of these DateTime objects
with using .ToString("d")

So a DateTime object of value {11/22/04 9:00 AM} with .ToString("d")
equates to "11/22/04"
Hope this helps!

Hello, I am comparing two date values, one from a database and one that has been converted from a hard-coded string into an actual Date type. So far so good. The problem I'm having is that one of the values comes from the database, and for existing values it works fine, but if the date doesn't exist (which will always be the condition when the user first enters into the form) I am adding logic to my javascript like: if (dbDate <...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
