Use a form (asp or html) to append existing xml file

P: 2
I have a database that uses an xml file for searching. I need a form where a user can enter the data to append to end of this xml file. The user will enter data like below:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <subname>
  2.  <name>Sub1</name>
  3. </subname>
I have been trying to modify some scripts that I have found, but not getting anywhere.

So I think the first step would be to create an HTML page (form) that gathers the user's input. Use text boxes etc. to allow them to provide you with the information.

Once they submit the form to the server, retrieve the data that the user entered and validate it to make sure it is what you are expecting.

If the data is valid, use your server-side code generate the XML that needs to be appended to the the file and append the text.

I'm not sure what stage you're stuck on.
