uploading an existing asp site

178 100+
Hi,

I have recently been asked to upload an asp site with an sql backend. I have all the code and a copy of the db. I do not have any passwords for the database. Is there an easy way to get these from the code?

Thanks

You will need to ask the person in charge of the database for the database credential details (user name & password).

This is sensitive information so if you use it in your application make sure that it is stored in a secured location.

The problem I have is this person is no longer in contact with us. I have all the code and a backup of the db. is there not a way to break the db to get password or would it not be in the code somewhere?
