Hi Kenneth,
At the end of your string you've got double quotes around the 2 when you don't need them, which is closing your string prematurely. Your string should look like: - SQL1 = "INSERT INTO tblBook_Loan (AccessionNo, BorrowerID, DateBorrowed, Status) VALUES ('" & varAccession & "', '" & varBorrower & "','" & Date &[b] "', 2)"
