problem debugging vb 6.0 components from an asp page.

I have a problem debugging vb 6.0 components from an asp page.

My development environment is visual studio 6.0. I am developing asp pages that call vb 6.0 components. On my current operating system Windows XP, I can debug asp pages in visual interdev as before, and I can launch my web site and instantiate vb 6.0 dlls with no problem. I have set debugging mode to 'Wait for the component to be created' But when a function is called from asp page, It does not go to COM project which is created using VB6.

Not sure what you have tried but you need to have VB6.0 open with the compiled project running and a break point in your project.

Also, make sure that the project you have open and running is the actual .dll being used in the registry. In other words, before you try to debug re-start IIS service and re-compile the project. Set your break point, then run it, then go to your web page and step through until you reach the call and you should be able to step through within VB6.0 environment.

Just a word of note, I believe on the latest MS server 2003 you cannot step through more then 1 dll per instance.
