there is an article in the how-tos section that gives the basic steps. Is there any question in particular that you have?

Error Type:
Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80004005)
The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'c:\db1.mdb'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

Make sure that, when you execute your script, you do not have the tables opened in Access. Specifically, make sure you do not have them open in Design view.

both of those possibilities do crop up (it is already open, or you don't have permission) Make sure the db manager is closed, and also make sure the anonymous web user has permission to modify the db (and has modify permissions for the folder the db is in). Let me know if this works.

Is it closed by everyone else, too? Meaning, if the file is on a shared server, does no one else have it open? Make sure.

If it turns out that it is totally closed, then you have a permissions issue. Enable, at a minimum, Read permissions on the directory and database for your web server's anonymous (or if your security is different, your server-specific) user account. Also ensure you are authenticating properly to the server.
