asp and asp.net

i am using wndows 2003 server and asp.net is enabled.And my main questiopn is can I use ASP on the asp.net

Yes, you just need to make sure the ASP.NET files are saved as .aspx and the classic ASP files are saved as .asp.

i have done that and when i try to run the saved file its not running and its leading me to a vb page which i cant even understand

You have to enable ASP in IIS Management. Under Web Service Extensions, ensure that Active Server Pages is enabled.

i hav econfirmed and it is enabled but still i cant run the asp page

Can you provide some additional details, maybe the error that you are receiving? I know you had ASP.NET enabled, but are you sure that Classic ASP is enabled.

what really is classic ASP,here is a list of the things that are enabled
1)active server pages
2)ASP.NET v2.0.50727
3)internet data connector
3)server side includes
4)Webdav
5)All unknown ISAPI extensions

and the only thing that is not enabled is
1)all unknown CGI extensions

And all of this is under WEB SERVICE EXTENSION
