Unable to execute ASP program

Hi,

I am unable to execute any ASP file. When i run the file, it is displaying the whole ASP file. All the permissions were given to the Virtual Directory.

Could any one of you look in to this ASAP.

Thanks,
Ganesh D

Ganesh,

What is the file extension? Are you sure it received just the .asp extension and not .asp.txt ?

Next, how are you opening your file? Are you linking to it through a server, or are you opening it locally?

OK, but are you clicking on a hyperlink to get to the page in question, or are you navigating to it via windows, or are you typing the address in the address bar? If you just type a local URL into a browser's location bar it will pull up the file from the filesystem rather than asking the server to deliver it, I think the same thing happens if you navigate to the file using windows explorer. You need to click a link to the asp page if you want the server to run the script. Of course remote pages do not have this problem. Let me know if this solves your problem.
