How to post data from html page to asp

hi sir/madam
I want the information about the ASP. I know how to write code in the html to create forms. After that i hav to post the data to the asp. i dont know anything about asp so please tel me the procedure and also scripting language.pls send me some sample codes which makes easier to learn....

To answer your question directly.. you would use the Request.Form object to grab data after submitting your form. So if i had a textbox on the page called "firstname" I would obtain the data from that text box in my asp script like so : Request.Form("firstname")

However, There's a lot more to asp and grabbing data from forms than just that - and explaining it on in a single post would be nuts - I would suggest reading up on the subject as there truly is no simple answer to your question - this is an excellent resource on the subject
