Running .Bat files using ASP

hi,
i m trying to run a batch file through an ASP pae..there are no syntactical erors.this is the error mssage that i get
"Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0046)
Permission denied
/cr/batch.asp, line 3"

this is my ASP file
<%
set wshell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
wshell.run "C:\batch\abc.bat"
set wshell = nothing
%>

i have set the permissions for the file and folders in which it is contained.yet i get this error...
pl help me out....
