Debugging ASP to VB 6.0 on 64-bit OS

I have a problem debugging vb 6.0 components from an asp page that is associated with changing operating systems from Windows server 2003 to windows server 2003 X64.

My development environment is visual studio 6.0. I am developing asp pages that call vb 6.0 components. On my current operating system I can debug asp pages in visual interdev as before, and I can launch my web site and instantiate vb 6.0 dlls with no problem. The web site runs as before either from visual interdev or from the site URL in ie 7.0.

My problem is that I can no longer step into a running vb 6.0 component. When I try to step in either from ie 7.0 or from visual interdev, I get the following err.description when I step over the Server.CreateObject("<object name>") code on the asp page, "006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~80030070". The err.number is -2147286928. This error equates to "Disk Full". After this asp page runs the web site just hangs with no errors recorded in the event logs and does not step into the running vb component.

The problem has something to do with the way IIS 6.0 is interacting with the vb component on a 64-bit operating system.
I had no problem stepping into vb component code with my previous pc that had a windows server 2003 32-bit operating system. I have contacted Microsoft about the problem, but they will not help since vb 6.0 and visual interdev are no longer supported.
