ASP.NET 2.0 GridView Hyperlink to call code not a URL

Hello. I have a Web page with A GridView on it populated from a SQL data source. What I would like to do is have a hyperlink at the end of each row to jump to a detail page however…

What I want to do is click on the Hyperlink and go to some VB behind code to load a session variable based on values in the GridView row and transfer control to the detail form.

The detail form would read the session variable and load the proper detail form.

I don’t want to pass the values in the Query String because I don’t want the user to see them or possibly try to change value the query string.

Any suggestions or alternative directions appreciated
