how to call functions in *.vbs file from asp file

Lets say I have myVBS.vbs file and myASP.asp file. I would like to call some functions in the vbs file from the asp file. So, how can I do that?

Please help. Thanks in advance

.vbs file is still plain text, right? as long as nothing in the .vbs file executes by itself, try a server-side include, IIS should just append the entire content of the .vbs file into the asp file.

Thanks, but that is not what i want.

For example:

here is myVBS.vbs:
////////////////////////////////////
Function doMath()
doMath = 1 + 2
End Function
////////////////////////////////////

and, here is myASP.asp. I am calling the doMath() function in vbs file:
retVal = Call doMath()
response.write retVal

I did try, <script language=vbscript src="myVBS.vbs"></script>, but it did not work.

Yes, a server side include would definitely work here, but I understand if you want to try it a different way, and your way might work.
