method group error in C# programmering with visual studio 2005

Hi!

I'm quite new at .net and I wrote a simple program from the book but I got error!!!

using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Text;

namespace ConsoleApplication3
{
class Program
{
static void Main(string[] args)
{

int var1=0, var2=5, var3=6;

var1 = var2++ * --var3;

Console.WriteLine =(var1);
Console.ReadKey();
}
}
}


Error: Cannot assign to 'WriteLine' because it is a 'method group'

Help me please:-)

Console.WriteLine is a function. Use it as a function :)

Console.WriteLine(var1);
