standards for websites?

Hi all,
I have developed three to four websites which are working fine and now that we feel
websites are not meeting the standards so i need to implement standards to confirm
the long life of my websites.
Can anyone please suggest me any backtracking method which i can use so that i can
carry out my modifications without disrupting the workflow of my sites.
If possible also provide with the Coding standard list for .net using c#.

Thanks and regards:
