How to run a background script

does any body know how you run an asp script or vb code in a background thread. The idea is to avoid server time out in running a similar script in a normal web page?

you can start a new Thread that will do the job

hey don't use thread... just add " set scripttimeout=3600 "

at the begning of the vb script ..... this will avoid the script time out
