ASP / ACCESS Multiple Users

I have a simple message database on our school web site. We have a list of subjects and clicking on an item brings up the subject matter in a separate frame. We do not experience any problems when the messages are read by individuals at different times. However, when we sat 16 kids down things went haywire! Clicking on say, item 3 would display the material for item 5, or clicking 7 might show 11 and so on. Differents mix ups occurred on different workstations. Once everyone left I checked out the site and things were back to normal. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
