Session Handling in ASP

If the user closes the application using close button ( without logging off properly). The session is not getting expired properly.

For example user x login in into an application and closes the window without using logout option.

After some time user "y" logs in into the same application. He is getting the details pertains to "X".

At the login prompt you should have
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.  session.abandon
this way any active sessions are dropped. You can also use the session.timeout piece to force the session to expire after several minutes
