Using j/script to override domain specific cookies?

Could someone comment on this solution to overcome cookies being specific
to individaul domains:

http://www.pathlore.com/customer/sup...ip_may2003.asp

Simply write another domain cookie to your domain via a js include file
which gives you access to Domain X cookie....

It seems ridicolously painless and simple compared to response.redirect
methods.

Thanks
