Installing IE7 breaks ASP code

I have used this type of VBSCRIPT code on an ASP page for several years to launch a program on a server from an ASP page:

Dim sh
set sh = Server.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
sh.Run("any-program.exe", 0 , TRUE)

The code breaks when I installed Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) on a Windows 2003 Server.

The error is "permission denied". The error goes away when I uninstall IE7.

Have you run into this problem?
Do you have a solution that is better than uninstalling IE7?

I granted full rights to the IUSR_machinename account but that did not solve the problem. Are their other user accounts to modify?

Has anybody had the problem with ASP scripts breaking after installing IE7?

I found a workaround - use the exec method instead of the run method. IE7 installs a new vbscript engine version 5.7 - this may be the cause of the bug.
