Problem submitting a form from modal web-dialog

Hi.

I would have liked to submit a form from a modal web dialog, i.e. a window
opened using showModalDialog() in which there is a form to submit. I thought the
dialog content would be replaced with the submitted page results but I saw a new
instance of MSIE instead.

Is this behaviour normal (I mean expected)? (How) can I replace a web dialog
content with submission page (i.e. the url in the form "action" attribute)
results?

Thanks in advance,
Vince C.

Use an IFRAME inside your modal dialog box.

Does your <form> tag have a target parameter? In any case, sounds like an
HTML issue, not an ASP issue. ASP has no idea what a "window" is.

ShowModalDialog and ShowModelessDialog do not permit you to redirect or
refresh or submit forms. They are basically just MsgBoxes. To do what you
want to do wrap your content in an IFRAME on the modal/modeless dialog and
work inside that.

Thanks to all. The IFRAME did the trick.
