Start off server space!

Hi,
Could anyone recommend a server provider that can handle asp for a site that
will contain roughly 500 pages that won't cost me the earth. The site will
be UK based mainly for UK customers. I have found so many but it's tough to
tell who is and isn't worth the money.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Brinkster perhaps.
Otherwise look on www.aspfaq.com I know Aaron had a bunch of links for
hosting.

500 pages doesn't really tell us much, but here are my two generic
recommendations:

www.myhosting.com Outstanding company.

If you need a dedicated server with lots of transfer allowance:
www.servermatrix.com

Thanks alot, I'll check them out.

I came across this one a while ago, but I'm not hosting a site there so I
can't give any guaranties:

http://www.ukfreehosts.com

The "free" in the name means that you get one year free hosting, then you
can choose to stay or not.
Prices & specs seem OK to me, and they're UK based so that could be a plus
for your situation.

I like www.HostMySite.com but I think they are U.S. based (not sure if that
matters to you). I've had great experiences with them.

Thanks, although I am going to try and stick with a UK based company just
now. I will however have a look at their site to see what they offer.
Thanks again.

I'm kinda fond of Interland, but they wouldn't normally be considered
cheap. I'm now investigating WebHost4Life and they are dirt cheap and
seem to be fantastic in service.

Again, thanks. Seems there are alot of fairly cheap hosts out there.
Cheers mate.

I use Fasthosts - www.fasthosts.co.uk

UK based and relatively cheap. I have their reseller package and have used
it for several years with very few problems.
