Microsoft.XMLDOM and XML file size limit

Hi!

I am loading XML file this way:

oDom = Server.CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
oDom.async = False

If oDom.Load(Server.MapPath("lang/EN.xml")) Then
GetXMLDocument = oDom.documentElement
Else
'Response.Write("Error : XML file is missing")
'Response.End()

When file is bigger than 1kb or so, then XML is not loaded and I get XML
file is missing error.

What could be wrong?

Pleas CC to my mail address also.

Thanks.

You might try upgrading to MSXML 3.0 or 4.0. Use
CreateObject("Msxml2.DOMDocument.4.0") or ...3.0"). I'm not sure which
parser you will get if you don't specify the version. I know you will get
one of the old ones...probably version 2.0.

Yes, definately upgrade to MSXML 4. The XMLDOM Milan is using is depracated
and full of bugs.
