Duplicate Appointments

Hey guys. I’m having a problem and I need help desperately. I am writing an appointment scheduler and have run into an issue. I have an access database to store all the appointment information. Now here is the catch, I can’t have any overlapping appointments. I can’t figure out how to determine if there is something already scheduled at that time because in the database it stores it like 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Can you be more specific about the database schema.
What are the fields in the table etc.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I have tried it as a datetime field with a separate column for start time and end time with no luck. Right now I have it as one column that is simply a text field where the information can be entered as a string. I can change the format to whatever I need to right now though.
