sorry for the basic question but what is the best IDE/tool to code and debug
asp and asp.net scrips?

Thanks for the reply, last time I checked there was no debugger in Notepad.
Any sensible answers?

That was a sensible suggestion.

I use Notepad all the time and do the debugging using error trapping
routines that are written into the code itself

Sorry for the basic answer but it's the one you know how to use and
that fits your style and needs the best.

Now Google for possibilities, including the groups archive where this
gets bashed around ad infinitum on a regular basis.
