Detecting user name

Hi
i want to store windows login user name to database using asp & vbscript. For this i'm using Server Variables which will detect user name. But the problem i'm facing that it is not working on LAN i.e. when i'm accessing my asp page on a remote system it is not displayed Instead it gives me error message "You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied."
Can somebody tell me how i should authenticate that it will be accessible on LAN(at least).
Thanx

Hi there,

Ask your system administrator to grant access to your account to eanable to perform the following task. Granting access to IIS_USR account will also help. Good luck & take care.
