Hi All,
I started this VB project pretty close to a month ago. Truthfully, I feel I had no business doing it because it was way over my head, but I have accomplished much since I started. I am now stuck and so burned out that all I need is for someone to look at my code and help me with these last few problems; there are 3 of them.
First, on my datagrid, the update button will not update. I know it has something to do with the postback and binddata and getdatasource functions, but I've tried everything and I can't get it to work. What's bad is that it worked fine first thing this morning, and somewhere along the lines, I messed up and I don't know where I messed up.
Two, I cannot create a new line of data in the datagrid. It has something to do with converting a string to an integer and -- again -- I tried everything I could think of and I am getting nowhere.
Third, the LastName in the sql_Contacts table will not update. Every other field does, but not the LastName. The sql table field is definitely named "LastName" and is no different than the FirstName field except for it's name. I see nothing in the code that would keep the LastName from updating. I tried making the textbox "autopostback" and I tried "enableviewstate" and still there is no change.
