Cursor problem?

I'm trying to jump to specific records in a recordset, here's the code i'm using:

set conn=Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
conn.open connString
'count total

set eventsRS=conn.execute("SELECT * FROM weekday INNER JOIN events ON weekday.day_id = events.events_day_no WHERE events_archive IS NOT NULL ORDER BY events_date_year DESC, events_date_month DESC, events_date_day DESC")

'x = last ID on the previous page
x = request("x")

if request("record") = "next" then
eventsRS.move 10, x
end if

if request("record") = "previous" then
eventsRS.move -10, x
end if

Here's the error:

ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cb3'
Current Recordset does not support bookmarks. This may be a limitation of the provider or of the selected cursortype.

I have no idea how to do this as am no longer relying on Dreamweaver...

right before this line:

set eventsRS=conn.execute("SELECT * FROM weekday INNER JOIN events

write this line:

eventsRS.CursorType = adOpenKeyset

this cursor type allows you to go back and forth in a recordset.
