"The requested resource is in use."

IIS 5.0 is throwing out "The requested resource is in use." for any site
that uses ASP - HTML is executing fine. I have tried re-installing
scripting, latest MDAC, and all my hotfixes are up to date. I have also
tried re-syncing the IWAM account but that didn't work either... Running
the webs in HIGH (isolated) did not help either. I disabled ISAPI
caching, and re-enabled it .. nothing ... rebooted the server, restarted
IIS several times .... I hit ASPFAQ.com and followed the instructions
there .. I have reinstalled IIS without any luck.

If the asp page runs fine in the LOW (IIS Process), but as soon as I
move it to Medium I get "The requested resource is in use."

Any ideas???

I've seen this error mentioned many times in .inetserver.iis. It's possible
someone in that group may have some info on it, I suppose. Everyone promise
not to yell about multiposting! I promise. :]

It seems to be a very popular problem, with many possible solutions. I
posted in m.p.i.iis yesterday and got a lot of response.. but
unfortunately nothing helped. I have all my webs running in LOW at the
moment, but the CPUs are going *c r a z y*

Aaron,

No answer but just a thank you! Something happened to my IIS website
so that all asp pages started getting the "requested resource is in
use" errors. In tearing my hair out trying to solve it I noticed your
message saying that using low iis process worked. Sure enough once I
did that mine also worked. Since I'm just trying to get them to work
in any way possible that is a GREAT accomplishment, for me anyway.

Did you have any luck by the way figuring out how to use Medium? I
would go back to it if that worked.
