help with an onload function

please help. i would like to write a script (either vb or java) where you use the "onload" event. when the page is loaded, i would like the user's ip address (retrieved with asp, of course) to be entered into a database. that's it. i'm pretty good with asp, i just can't mentally make the connection with vbscript.
