Has anyone any experience of outputting data (field name, field value) to a
..csv file so I can email it off (for importing into a sperate database
system)?
Are there any pitfulls I should look out for?
Thanks

Are you having issues? You can just use the FSO to create your files.
Also, if this is coming from a recordset, you can do it all in one swoop by
doing:
sOutput = oRS.GetString(,,",",vbCrLf)

Ray,
Thanks this looks like worth looking into. I'm new to asp, yes it can be
pulled from a database, I'm not familiar with this, could you pelase advise
on the paramters for the Output and GetString bits, (I'm only sending one
record, the AutoNumber value will be known)
Many thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon,
In the example sOutput is the name of the string variable used to hold the
value. GetString I believe is the method - so the example should just be a
literal copy and paste job.
Another little sample found in a google search here.. http://lists.evolt.org/archive/Week-...20/093369.html

Rob
Hi Jon,
Take a look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en...damth02_11.asp
Post back if you need more info. I didn't understand what you meant by
"parameters for the Output[sic]."
