ASP.Net: Code-Behind Files are not Compiled

Found a different way to do it - onto the next problem...
-----Original Message-----
Software: WIN XP Professional, IIS 5.1, Visual Studio.Net2002 -
I have figured out why my .aspx files did not render withIIS. The next problem: The code-behind does not compile.

I have found an article
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;313105#appliesto
that offers a fix for this or a similar problem. However, being new to VS.Net and IIS I have serious problems
understanding the way to apply the remedy offered in thatarticle. I would be grateful if anybody could tell me howto go about this:

<quote>To resolve this problem, use one of the following
methods:
Give the share access to the account that is used for theworker process. If you are using a system account or a
network service, you can give access to the computer
account.

To give access to the computer account, follow these
steps:

Right-click the share, and then click Properties.

On the Sharing tab, click Permissions, and then click Add.
Type the name of the Web server, and then click Check
Names. This displays as $machinename under Share
Permissions in the Permissions dialog box for this share.

Use code-behind files with precompiled dynamic-link
libraries (DLLs) instead of dynamic compilation.
Use single page files rather than code-behind files.

Run the worker process as an account that can access the
share. To configure this, use the user name and password
attributes of the processModel element of the
Machine.config file.
<end quote>

My problem: I do not really know anything about
the "worker process" and the following command: "Click onthe SHARE"...
I right-clicked on every possible entity that could be
considered a share. But then, honestly, I do not really
know the definition of "share". For folders including
wwwroot the tab "Sharing" does not offer a "Permissions"
tab.
Naturally, I also do not know how to "create a share"...
I haven't yet thought about the "processModel element".

I would be so grateful if somebody could tell me what to
do in plain Saxon!

Thank you very much,

Ursula

This is a classic asp newsgroup. While you may be lucky enough to find a
dotnet-savvy person here who can answer your question, you can eliminate the
luck factor by posting your question to an appropriate group. I suggest
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet.
