I have seen the problem, too. I have a script running against an
install directory containing Windows service packs, etc. The script has
reported back that WinXP Service Pack 1a has not been accessed in 6
months, but Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 has been. I am still trying to
work out the why's and why not's, but if such is the case, I would
suggest just archiving the data to CD (or DVD), and then manually
deleting them from the HDD.
