If you don't want to upgrade your operating system, sign up with a host that
supports asp. Brinkster is one.

After you have a system or site that supports ASP have a look at some of the
tutorial sites such as asp101.com. A book or two on ASP would be helpful as
well.

You also have the option to do as I did, install the freeware Abyss Web
Server ( http://www.aprelium.com/ ) and then install seliSoft's
ActiveHTML ( http://www.selisoft.com/en/ahtml/index.html ) which adds
ASP Classic capability to Abyss. ActiveHTML is trialware and will run
you about 32 USD. It doesn't do everything that IIS does (most of it,
though), but for only 32 USD you can have an ASP development environment
on XP Home without the expensive upgrade to XP Pro.

1) XP Home has no IIS/PWS:

2) Google "ASP Database Tutorial"
