edit excel on remote server

Problem: users around the internet need to edit the same spreadsheet. I
don't want to code a bunch of pages for each spreadsheet we create. I know
that a spreadsheet will open in a browser, but is it possible to save it
back to the server, without downloading and re-uploading? What is the
shortest path to success on this?

thanks!

And this is what? Your attempt to be an ass? I guess you would be successful
then! If these comments are the best you can offer, try writing them down on
paper, carry them around for a day or two, then throw them away! I'm not
sure which is worse. Your worthless and insulting comment or my response to
it. Regardless, stay away from my threads!
Hire someone to do it for you.

You might try SoftArtisan's ExcelWriter.

What does "save back to the server" mean, if not uploading? I am aware of at
least one content/collaboration management suite that does what you want,
but it is not inexpensive:

That's rich, coming from someone who doesn't even have the decency to
identify himself.

Why not place the excel file in a webdav folder, and let users access it
like that?

Why not place the excel file in a webdav folder, and let
users access it like that?
That would not eliminate the need to manage collaboration, would it? WEBDAV
alone will not prevent users from overwriting each other's changes.

You can mark an Excel file as "Shared", and changes will be merged.

No. You asked for the fastest path. I gave it to you, as you obviously have
no programming experience, or you would have asked your question quite
differently.
>Regardless, stay away from my threads!
No, you stay away from my threads!
