What are pages with a .tmpl extension???

I have been asked to work on an existing ASP site and they have a bunch of
pages with .tmpl extension.

Anyone fill me in on what these are? MSDN doesn't acknowledge them!

TIA,

Larry Woods

Probably templates for pages. I'd guess it's just an extension that someone
chose to use. I'm a big fan of unfamiliar extensions such as .ray. :]

That's kinda funny... I will usually use strange extensions when
programming so I can remember what I was using a text file for. Since
the Text reader doesn't care about the extension, you can do this... :o)

Nope, not really. First, the .tmpl extension is defined by W3. Defines
the use of a "<TMPL ...>" tag. Also, when the pages in question are
executed using IIS 5.0 they create a different rendering than the SAME
page, but with an .htm extension!

Hmmmmm.
