simple FTP client without a component

Hi all,

I would like to use the ftp protocol to upload a file from 'my' asp
server to a ftp server. I'm not able to install components on 'my'
server and there are no ftp-components installed. So I was wondering if
it possible to write a very simple ftp client myself, in asp. If so,
could you please point me in right direction?

Thnx for your time!

Are you able to install an FTP component on your FTP server? If so, are you
also able to run IIS there?

If both are possible, then you may be able to send a SOAP/ServerXMLHTTP
request to the FTP server and tell it to request the file from the ASP
server. I know it sounds backward, but it works for us.
