classic asp and parameterized queries

Hi, I'm an asp.net programmer working on another project that was done in asp. I would like to use parameters in my update SQL rather than just building a sql string in vbscript. Is this possible in asp? Searching google gives me a lot of info on asp.net, but I need to do this in asp as I'm modifying an existing asp app.

thanks in advance!
