disabling

I have span and Textarea fields...

How can I disable and gray out those dynamically using DHTML

when I called disabled = true it makes it readonly and does not gry out....

ASP knows nothing of DHTML.

I had expeced that somebody will reply me like this....

per my knowledge most of the ASP pogrammers do DHTML too...

That does not mean we will answer off-topic questions. We have focussed
newsgroups for a reason. Given this reply, it sounds as if you knew you were
posting an off-topic question, so I'm tempted not to reply. However:

I suspect you will need to use css attributes to solve your problem.
Follow up in a client-side group such as .scripting.jscript
