Beginners question

Hello,
I am new to ASP and want to start using it to improve my websites.

I am a home user, running windows XP home edition. I want to write and test
ASP.net pages on my PC. What do I need to set up or install?

You really oughta upgrade to XP pro and make sure IIS is installed.
Then get a decent text editor (edit pad lite is good )
You'll be good to go
----or you can go thru the hassle of downloading the free server thingy that
doesn't support classic asp and end up installing xp-pro anyway
