Ridding the image red cross

36 New Member
Hi Guys

Can anyone help me with this one?

Basically I am using the following script to pull in a url from a field called "Picturelin k" in my databse table:

response.write "<table>"
response.write "<tr><td width=131 width=40 background=main blankpic.gif><i mg height=65 src=" & picturelink & " width=88 border=0></td</tr>"
response.write "</table>"

The "picturelin k" field simply contains a url which points to an image on my web server. However, sometimes the url in the "picturelin k" field, which point to the images, are incorrect and therefore I get one of those red crosses where the image should be.

I have used the following script to get around this type of problem before but I am unable to incorporate it into the above script.

<IMG Src="mysite/images/noimagethere.jp g" style="display: none;" onLoad="this.st yle.display='in line';">

Has anyone got any ideas how I can stop the red cross from appearing when there are no images present or even perhaps have a better solution?

Any help would be fully appreciated

best regards

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could come up with a cross browser image transition that I could use... I have already made one that works in IE but i know it doesn't work in Mozilla Firefox. Below is the script I have made, there is only one error with it (besides compatabilty), the fact that you can make the images transition even when there is already a transition occuring, I have tried to compensate for this, but it doesn't work......

I have a requirement in which I need to check some files and provide the report on UI. And I would like to design this in such a way that on Windows form it displays all file names and then it starts checking one after other. If it meets criteria, Green tick image would come after filename, otherwise Red Cross image. I can do file check but how can I display either Green Tick or Red Cross image based on result. Is there any...

I'm guessing this is a laughably obvious answer to many here, but it's not to me (and I don't have a server or any knowledge of PHP to be able to try it). It's not strictly a PHP question, but something that PHP guys would know the answer to. I can't think of a more appropriate forum to try. I've heard the ASP and JSP guys aren't as friendly ;-) Let's say we have a HTML page from domain example.com, and that HTML page makes a request to...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
