How to Read Changed Session?

13 New Member
Hi guys, i am a freshman here.. I would like to ask a things about Session.. Does session only work to be read for once? and if you change it into new value, it will not be able to be read in other page?

Scenario..
I have page A and Page B. I assign a new Session("cart") = 1. Then I can read in Page B that Session("cart") = 1.

Due to some reason, I have changed the Session("cart") = 2 in page A. Then i go back to Page B again. When I read the Session("cart") in Page B, it still contain the old value which is 1.

Is that the Session actually work? Is there anyway to solve the problem?

Thanks for any help..

the problem may be that you are not refreshing the page B. You should definietely be able to update session variables as often as you want. Try going to page B and refreshing to see if that is the problem.

hi all, can you please tell me what i should do to avoid session timeout when displaying my database info in my asp form (DisplayUserDatabase.asp)??? ** actualy it does load and display the database randomly....otherwise it's always runs into a session time out.... **Also when i save new account info (You'll notice that i've been asked to put a save button near each record...so, it's not one global save it's by record), i'd like to be...

Hi, I have these 2 problem? Is there a way in Oracle to read UNCOMMITED data. i.e. in Oracle the normal behaviour is that a user's updates to a table are visible to other users ONLY when the user commits. But in Informix there is this thing called ISOLATION LEVELS. For example by setting the ISOLATION LEVEL to DIRTY READ, a user will read dirty data, i.e. the last uncommited updated value of a field by some other user. Is

I have a question about oracle commit and transactions. Following scenario: Process A performs a single sql-INSERT into a table and commits the transaction. Then he informs process B (ipc) to read the new date. So process B starts "select ..." but does not get the previously inserted row. The timespan between commit and select is very short. (NOTE: two different sessions are used) Questions: 1.) Does commit when returning from call...

I think I understand the concept of repeatable read, but this scenario doesn't make sense to me, if someone can explain. Say you have an innodb table test with a string column s = 'blank' and are using the default isolation level of repeatable read. Session 1: begin; Session 2:

I've tried posting this in the 'microsoft.public.access' but I will post it here also, as I think it might be the webserver which is causing my problem. --------- I have an Access 2003 database which is in the "fpdb" folder of my webserver. Its located there so that I can use asp to build a web-based front-end for users to read the database - http://www.nist.ac.th/maths/test1.asp The MBD file is edited using Access (2003) and opening...

Hi, I'm new member of this group. I had added new virtual host at my intranet server. The new virtual host configuration on httpd.conf is similar with the old one. At the new virtual host, the session id seems changed every interaction to server (new page or reload). The old one is fine, the session id keeps at the same string. Both are at the same server. I use Apache 2.2.3 (Win32) with PHP 5.2.0.

Hi, I have client server application in which I am using cookie less session. Basically client prepares the url & sends the request to the server. My server is a web application running under ASP .Net 1.1. The url format is http://domain.com/(sessionid)/Page.aspx Recently I have moved the server application from ASP .Net 1.1 to ASP .Net 2.0. I just found that in .Net 2.0 session URL format has been changed & now

I apologize, but I posted this in the php general forum earlier and realized that this is the more appropriate forum. Hopefully there's a coder here who has done this in the past. I've got code that uses CURL to go a web page to read the data. When I type in www.website.com, the server automatically adds a session variable to the url. I need to be able to read that session variable. Then I will use that session variable to input...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
