Error when connecting .aspx page

3 New Member
Hi, friends! I have created .aspx page which uses sql connection to SQL Server 2000 on computer with Win2000 advanced server used as web server. The page works normally on VS2005 with its ASP.NET Web Development server. When I try to test the page on IIS 5.0 /.NET Framework 2.0 installed/, I receive the following error: "Failed to execute request because the App-Domain could not be created. Error: 0x80004005 Unspecified error". I need help. Thanks in advance!

I just want to add some information:

when browsing this page - default.aspx i'm getting the following error:

Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is
currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser
to retry your request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific
request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server.
Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

In the application log I found the error: Failed to execute request because the App-Domain could not be created. Error: 0x80004005 Unspecified error.

Because .html and .asp pages are browsed normally, I think the problem is only with ASP.NET pages.

Please help!

I have a problem that involves the error I receive when attempting to complete the asp.net web application example (Walkthrough: Creating a Web Application Using a Third-Party Business Object). When I first create the SQL connection in VS.NET 2003, I test the connection and everything works fine. However, when I attempt to run the first stage of the app (the bound datagrid), I receive an error stating: login failed for user...

Hi, I originally posted this as a reply to a rather old thread in dotnet.framework.general and didn't get any response. I thought it might be more relevant here; anyone got any ideas? First of all, sorry for cross-posting, but this newsgroup is much busier than "aspnet.mobile". I'm trying to create a portal page that redirects depending on the device that is connecting. When I use Request.Browser("IsMobileDevice"), it returns false when connecting with my iPAQ 2215 (and other Windows Mobile 2003 devices), although HTTPBrowserCapabilities "Platform" returns "WinCE".

I now get the following error message after copying an asp.net application to the deployment web server. I don't have SQLExpress or any version of SQL 2005 installed. I found the "LocalSQLServer" connection string in the machine.config, changed that to look at a SQL 2000 database, but the error still comes up. An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be...

Hello, I'm a newbie here and was wondering anyone could help me with this. I have a simple ASP.NET 2 web application running perfectly fine with IIS and SQLServerExpress installed locally on my WinXP as a testing server (I created the app in Visual Studio.NET 2005). When deploying this app on the production server (running Win2000 Server, IIS and SQLServerExpress 2005), I'm getting the following

Hello, I have written a simple logon page that redirects to another page when successful. All works fine on my computer but when I upload it I get the error message below. I have written it in ASP.net v2, and have put it on IIS v6 on windows server 2003. I think it may be something to do with connection string to the database,

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
