Universal Script for Table Updating

Hi. I am making backoffice manager for web-data based application. I am
looking for universal technics(best technics) how to update multiple rows in
backoffice.

One of solutions i found it is going through each row and update with new
content. I am afraid for using long connection time for this process in case
table has a lot of records. I think the best way should be one which takes
minimum time for that. Thanks for advice

Hello, I need to change collation in my database (more databases acctualy). Therefore, I wanted to make a script, which will do it at one more time. I already have a cursor, updating collation on all tables (fields) in database. The problem is, before I will to update the collations, I need to drop all constrains and pk's.

I don't need a detailed description of a solution(although I wouldn't mind), but I am hoping someone could tell me in general the best path to go about accomplishing a task, since I don't know all the capabilities of what I have available. I can learn the details myself I think. I am trying to set this up to be as simple to use as possible since others will be importing data on a weekly or daily basis. I need to import some text files,...

Instead of putting the same 12 columns on every table (these 12 columns contain info about who created the record and when, for example)... It may be more efficient to make a new table to hold that data. This new table would act as a universal extension table. Instead of having FKs back to any particular table, it would contain regular keys that point back to whatever table::record is its source. I was thinking of using two keys only:

Hi, I am trying to run my simple analysis script on an existing database table that I have. I have increased my php time out to 5 minutes and the same with my apache server config file - 300 seconds, so should be plenty of time. My script is below. If there is any way I can speed it up, that would be useful to know ;-) The echo in the script, only display after about 5 minutes of waiting

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
