Yes, install SMTP on that local server. It's part of the sub-options when

By using IIS's SMTP service, or depending on the application you could
use SQL's sp_sendmail stored procedure.

I am currently developing a C# asp.net application where users are required to register. The application then generates a simple, plain text email and sends it to the new user. I have been trying to use the MailMessage and SmtpMail classes from the System.Web.Mail namespace (built in to .net) to do this. It is my understanding that these classes use CDONTS (cdosys.dll) and the SMTP mail service on the server to send the messages....

However, one of the addresses, the one ending in @verizon.net, does not seem to be recieving the message even though the other addresses are. I also do not know of any junkmail filter that would delete the...

Hello, Is it possible to write a script using CONDTS object to read all emails from the SMTP IIS "Drop" folder without changing the username and email address in LogonSMTP? or is there completely another way to do it. Here is what I want exactly the program to do: I just want to have one script that will be able to pickup and read all emails that arrive regardless of the email prefix. For example, I want the script to read:...

I have a web page that at the click of a button must send a bunch (1000+) emails. Each email is sent individually. I have the code working fine, using Mail Message classes and smtp and all that. But sometimes even when I'm just sending one e-mail the web page takes a minutes or so to post. Can anyone tell me why it is so slow, or how to fix the problem? To address this I am thinking of just creating a queue table to write the emails...

Hi. I would like to let users send bug reports or other messages to me. Maybe the easiest way to send e-mails from my application is just use the default e-mail agent by executing a link mailto://mymail@domail.com. But this only works if the user has configured Outlook or something. Many users use web-based mails here so if I do so, Outlook Express's a new account wizard will pop-up. Futhure more this reveals user e-mails. Some people...

Hello, My company will be hosting a webcast, and I need to send out 2000 individual emails to people who signed up (for login information...). I created an smtp app that I can loop through which uses smtp and our Exchange mail server. The smtp app works fine. I tested it on 10 test emails and called Client.Send 10 times. The emails went through (I emailed myself). My question is if anyone knows if Exchange server would be bogged...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
