Response.redire ct only working sometimes

I have response.redire ct("/home.asp") in my code but instead of
redirecting to that page it sometimes redirects to the current page
("register.asp" ). Its temperamental. Has this happened to anyone else?
If so, please help. I am about to pull my hair out.

one last thing -- I don't believe any content has been already written
to the client because I don't receive an error message. I heard that a
proxy server (which I have) might prevent that error message from
showing up.

It sounds to me based on the name "register.a sp" that your site requires
some sort of a login. If so, I would guess that when the user is redirected
to home.asp, his login cannot be validated (expired session, cookie, etc.),
and you have code to redirect the person to the register page if that
happens.

I have some issues with HTTP Headers and I was hoping for some pointers or references to good articles. Here is the problem. I have 6 .aspx pages, each page contains a common .ascx. This ascx serves two purposes, 1. it contains a tab strip with response.redirects to navigate to the other pages; 2. I authenticate the user by check to see if a cookie exists, if it doesn't I redirect to a login screen.

I've got a page that does a search... There is an ImageButton on it that allows the user to reset the search. The Click Handler for the button clears out the Data and then redirects to the same page with Response.Redirect("Search.Aspx", true); Sometimes the code in Page_Load within the IsPostBack part of the if statement runs and sometimes it doesn't. IN other words, sometimes IsPostBack is true and sometimes it is not!

Hallo!

Hello, I would like to ask you a question concerning Response.Redirect method. I have such call in my application and I don't understand why the call sometimes (random behavior) does not work ("cannot open page"). Here is my source code (I am from Poland): case "Google": Response.Redirect("http://www.google.pl/search?hl=pl&q=" + ToFind + "+.NET+Microsoft+&btnG=Wyszukaj+w+Google&lr=");

We have been running into some problems where using Response.Redirect causes the page to hang and it never actually redirects. Here's the scenario: User opens the page, selects an item from the drop down list and then clicks one of a couple of buttons to send them off to another page. We do a little bit of validation in the Event Handler and then do a Response.Redirect off to the next page. Then the page just sits there and never...

Hi, I've been going crazy trying to figure out what's wrong with our Asp.Net 2.0 intranet site. At the very top of our main page I provide a TextBox and a Button for submitting Google searches. Recently somebody pointed out to me that you can't just press ENTER anymore after typing in the TextBox but that you HAVE to click on the submit Button WITH THE MOUSE for it to work. After some initial troubleshooting I discovered that it's only...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
