ASP page challenges for user cerdentials when large output returne

I have an ASP page which users can call with various parameters to generate
data for reports.

However, some users who specifiy very few parameters and so generate a large
result page are geting challenged for their network credentials after approx
30 seconds.

When they enter their credentials for the third time the page returns with a
401 "You are not authorized to use this page"

Yet if they specify more parameters (and so get a smaller result page) then
the page returns normally.

If checked the query in the database and it runs fine with no errors, so I
ssupect I'm hitting some sort of buffer limit within IIS?

Any thoughts/ideas welcome.

Ollie.

Well - got it sorted.

Turns out that the server had run out of disk space! Once that was sorted
then ASP returned to normal.

I am able to place values on forms that load into my webbrowser control, but I'd like to be able to scan the page for data. I know to use the HTMLDocument object. Basically I'm hoping to find an example of a DocumentComplete routine that will: - display a list of all elements (tags?) on the page - number of forms on the page - ID, name, type and value for each field on the form

I'm trying to set up an asp.net (vb.net) that will allow a user to insert/update a bio/profile. I wanted to create a SQL Server 2000 table that includes their contact info and bio info. However, I'm not getting SQL Server to accept more than about two paragraphs of info. I've tried the datatypes of ntext and nvar char to no success. I'm presuming most people will be cutting and pasting from a Word document also. Does anyone have any...

Hi All, I'm having a problem with Page Output caching on a page that contains a DataGrid. Basically the page pulls up some data for sales information from the DB. Some of this has to be calculated on the fly when the request is made, and so I thought it would be ideal to cache the page for a set amount of time. I've placed the following at the top of my page: <%@ OutputCache Duration="160" VaryByParam="None" %> Now the problem is...

I'm developing a fairly simple user control that has two textboxes for date/time entry (a from date/time and a to date/time). One of my requirements is that there should be no button that sets these values (i.e., no button to cause a postback). The problem I'm having is that I need a number of validations to be performed on the data entry, but I don't know how to do this without having the user control/page posted back to the server. ...

Hi, please look at the ASP.NET 2 site http://www.prismatest.ch/catalog/EM.ASPX (user=prismashop, password=minicooper). Use the ">" Button to go to the next pages. You will notice that the page goes all white every time after pressing the ">" Button, and redraws itself only after all parts of the page have been downloaded. This means the page stays white for several seconds.

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the upload section. The file name...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
