About starting TOmcat

Hallo,
I installed tomcat, Java and also Eclipse... when click on startup.bat it starts but when I type in the broswer http://localhost:8080/ I couldnot see the startup page ..some error....how to copy the error from the command prompt???

please help me out in this regard

Check the logs which are in the directory that you installed tomcat on in .../tomcat/logs/, you can copy the error from the logs as they are only text files.

In the command prompt right click, select 'Mark' then highlight the error and press return, now go and paste the error.
